Nutrition for Weight Loss Can’t Be Ignored…

nutrition_weight_lossHealthy weight loss is about losing weight in a healthy way by having the right diet. Eating less is not considered as eating healthy. Eating healthy must include balance nutrition into your daily diet.

Let me explain about Nutrition in a simple way to understand. Our human body needs a lot of things such as:


  1. Protein – to help build and maintain lean muscle mass
  2. Carbs – provide the body’s main source
  3. Unsaturated fats – to achieve and maintain a healthy heart
  4. Vitamin & Minerals - for growth and development
  5. Omega 3 fatty acids – for healthy heart, brain, and heart function of eyes, skin, joints, hair and immune system
  6. Fibre – to support the body’s natural elimination of waste and toxins
  7. Water - for hydration
  8. Exercise & Relaxation – for a healthy heart

If we don’t get the right amounts then we will be getting Imbalance Nutrition. Imbalance nutrition means we are getting nutrients but in the wrong proportions like the picture below:

Imbalance Nutrition means excess of sugar, salt, fats, preservatives and food coloring. We have to admit that in our modern diet is lacking in nutrition and our health suffers. That is because of the deficiency in vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein, amino acids, phytonutrients and antioxidant.

You might be thinking what should be the right food to eat and what kind of nutrition to take. No worries, here are some tips on how to choose a core nutrition for your daily needs and what will be the cause of lacking or excess for each of it:

  • Calories which is lower than any food – If you have too much or excess calories this will cause weight problems.
  • Nutrients needed  – Deficiency in vitamins, calcium, protein will cause nail and hair problems. Lack of vitamins of fatty oils will cause dry skin.
  • Protein – Lack of protein can cause loss of muscle mass, decrease immunity as well as weakening of heart and respiratory system.

And I’m pretty sure there are a lot of “??” in your head, yeah? Pretty challenging on the nutrition part :) The truth is, we can only get balance nutrition from nutritional health food products, which in another terms we called it the food supplement. And how to choose the right kind of nutritional health food? Here are some guidelines:

  • Get enough protein
  • Avoid excessive calories
  • Food that can make you feel fuller and longer
  • Avoid excessive unhealthy fats which can cause cholesterol and body fat
  • Achieve your vitamin and mineral based on recommended dietary allowances
