How To Know You Are Ready To Lose Weight?

are_you_ready_to_lose_weightA lot of people are too excited when they have seen their friends started to lose weight or in the progress of losing weight. They also want to join in the fun, without knowing clearly what are their goals and reason to lose weight. Is it simply because the friend is trying out a certain new weight loss product and getting results, they also want to join in the fun to try out the product too?

This is a common mistake for most people. They have already started to fail even before starting their journey to lose weight. To start a lose weight program is not simply, Ok, tomorrow I will start dieting or Ok, great products. Let me try it out to see if it is working.

We need to clearly know what are the reasons we want to lose weight, and the goals that we wanted to achieve. Just take me as an example, what makes me want to start a lose weight program is because I am worried about my cholesterol level going up high. So, my goal is to improve my cholesterol level and also to lose few pounds. When I have know what are my goals and what I wanted to achieve through the weight loss program, I will need to commit to it. Losing weight is a new commitment to myself. I got to make it work.. and not simply, give up just like that.

We need to commit to what we have decided to do. Without commitment, we will never be serious about it. When we are not serious and not consistent, definitely there will be no good results.

Ask yourself, are you ready to lose weight? Do you know why do you want to lose weight? What do you want to achieve for losing weight? If you are strong about your “why”, then you are ready to lose weight. If you are unsure of the “why”, then you are not ready at all. If you are sure about your “why”, the determination and discipline will automatically built into your brain. It is all about mentally ready and you will be physically ready as well.

What you should do if you are not ready? Don’t waste your time, don’t waste your money on any kind of slimming methods, don’t waste your money on gym membership..because it will not work at all if you are not READY!
