<p>I know a lot of dieters will have a set of weight loss plan for themselves. Weight loss plan means:</p>
<ul>
<li>knowing the method that they will be using to lose weight</li>
<li>identify how many kg that they want to lose in a certain duration of time</li>
</ul>
<p>Very good, because this shows that the individual know what to do and knowing what they want to achieve. However, reality is lot of people can lose weight initially but majority of the people are unable to maintain and keeping the weight off for a long period of time. Why is this happening? Simply because most people will only plan for losing weight, but doesn&#8217;t have a plan for maintaining and keeping their weight off.<br />

<p>There are a lot of ways to lose weight. It is simple to lose weight, but not easy. Basically anyone also can achieve weight loss results. But in reality, how many people are able to maintain and keeping the weight off while still enjoy food? Is really rare.</p>
<h3>You could easily gain back what you have lost&#8230;</h3>
<p>Maintaining and keeping weight off, for me personally I would say that this is for advance dieters because most people are unable to reach this stage. I also personally feel that losing weight, maintaining and keeping it off is a commitment for life. So, don&#8217;t get too  happy when you can lose 5-10kgs. If you do not have a proper long term weight loss plan, chances you will gain back those 5-10kgs in matter of weeks or months. I&#8217;m not scaring you because I have heard a lot of such stories and people come and ask me how to maintain as they gain back the weight even faster than the duration that they used to lose weight.</p>
<h3>What is the definition of Weight Loss Success?</h3>
<p>For me, the definition of weight loss success is losing it, able to maintain it and keeping it off for years. For any dieters who are looking to achieve weight loss success and feeling really tired of dieting over and over again and gaining back those weight so fast, the foundation is very important. What foundation do I mean? Foundation is the base method that you used to lose weight, because only with a strong and solid foundation, it will be able to help you to maintain and keeping it off.</p>
<h3>You need a solid foundation for losing weight</h3>
<p>Let me give you an example, building a house. If a house is built without a strong foundation, or poor construction work, can the house sustain for very long time? Or it is risky as you will never know when the house will collapsed, and the whole house will be gone?</p>

If the battery is weak, then, we won&#8217;t be able to perform the functions on the remote control itself.</p>
<p>Same goes to our body too. Each one of us has our own battery indicator, the BMR which is the amount of calories needed by our body to let us have the energy to perform daily activities like walking, doing house chores, working, driving and etc based on the individual person&#8217;s age, muscle mass, physic rating, body fat %, visceral fat and body water %.</p>
<h3>You must be thinking, so where can I know about my BMR, Basal Metabolic Rate?</h3>
<p>Is easy. If you go to gym or any weight loss coach, they will have a weighing scale that measures your body that is able to tell you your BMR.</p>
<h3>What is the use of BMR?</h3>
<p>It is very useful and important. Because when you know the amount of calories needed by your body, let&#8217;s say is 1250 calories. And everyday, your total calories intake is 1800. That means it is excess by 550 calories. What happen to those excess 550 calories inside your body? Assuming you do not work out. And the excess 550 calories is not burnt. It will then stored inside the body and slowly weight gain will happen. But, if you do work out and manage to burn off the 550 calories, then you will be maintaining your body weight.</p>
<p>And if you take lesser than 1250, assuming only1000 calories every day. Reduce by 250 calories every single day. If this can be done consistently for a period of time, that is when weight loss will happen.</p>
<h3>Don&#8217;t Make These Mistake!</h3>
<h4>Mistake #1 :Very Low Calorie Intake Diet</h4>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you know that your BMR is 1150 calories. And you trying to be smart, by starving and skipping meals. And your calories intake is only 150. Guess what will happen? You will be suffering and torturing yourself. Can drastic weight loss happen? Of course it will happen, but it won&#8217;t give you long term results. Simply is because how long can you sustain by having daily diet food intake that is just 150 calories everyday? Believe me, you will collapsed and worst ended up in the hospital.</p>
<p>And worst, once you started to eat back normally, that is when Yo Yo effects will happen to you!</p>
<h4>Mistake #2: Low Calorie Intake + Exercise Like Crazy</h4>
<p>Same goes to the people who thinks that they eat so little and exercise like crazy. It seems healthy way of dieting, in actual fact is NOT! When your body is not getting the sufficient energy required, it will then be in sleeping mode. Just like the remote control, no matter how hard you press the button, when there is battery is weak it will not work at all.</p>

A lot of people know how to lose weight, but they never know how to maintain and keep the weight off. The basic is all about choosing the right method to lose weight. When you have chosen the wrong method it will be very difficult for you to maintain to keep the weight off.</p>
<p>The reason why is because when you are dieting, it is suppose to be a change to a healthier eating habits and lifestyle. But if the method that you use is a sudden shock that is eating very less with very low calories, this will actually slow down the metabolism of the body and ended up losing muscle mass. What happen after that? When you stopped dieting and started to eat back, more calories than before, the rate for weight ballooning is much faster is because the metabolism has slow down and muscle mass is decreasing. When metabolism low and low muscle mass, it can&#8217;t help to burn more fat and the excess fats will store inside the body, resulted in Yo Yo Effect.</p>
<p>Here are the simple steps that I myself has been practicing it to be in control of my own weight and health.</p>

<p><strong>Here are 6 Steps To Be In Control Of Your Weight &amp; Health</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>Weigh yourself from time to time. If you noticed that you have gained 1-2kgs, then it is time to do something to lose those weight that you have gained. If you don&#8217;t do something to it.. it will slowly accumulate and ended up gaining lots of weight. It is easier to lose bit by bit.. rather than to start dieting program all over again.</li>
<li>Our body consists of body cells and we need to feed them. Most people neglect this part. We need to feed our body cells with vitamins, minerals and water. Taking food supplement for our body cells will make us healthier and not easy to fall sick.</li>
<li>Eat correct breakfast, that is balance protein based breakfast. Eat breakfast everyday!</li>
<li>Drink sufficient water daily, minimum water intake is 2L per day. Our body and brain needs water. Get a water bottle that is 2000ml so that is will be easier for you to calculate how much water you have drink per day.</li>
<li>Do not always eat late supper! You can gain weight very fast if eat heavy food late at night, especially after 8pm.</li>
<li>Choose to drink H20 rather than sweet drinks or soda drinks when you are hanging out with friends.</li>
